Sally Kerr
Counsellor

Helvetica Light is an easy to read font, with tall and narrow letters, that works well on almost every site.
If troubles from the past continue to overshadow you or more recent changes such as bereavement or illness have surfaced, then my non-judgemental space is here for you. As an experienced counsellor who has worked with people from all walks of life I also have experience of supporting teenagers and young adults.

Dark, sometimes suicidal thoughts can feel overwhelming, and it's hard to find someone who you can trust to talk to. You perhaps feel that you don't want to burden anyone else. Counselling can make a difference. I can listen and hear those emotional struggles.
I qualified as a counsellor in 2004.
As part of a hospice family support team for twelve years, I supported patients and their families.
Treatment can take its toll both physically and emotionally for those where the outcome is unknown but it can also help to explore the roller-coaster of getting well again. Perhaps returning to work.
I have worked with a local charity supporting young people and as a school counsellor in both primary and secondary schools.

I am the counselling coordinator with the Macclesfield MS group
(ms-cas.co.uk) supporting individuals and families.

In 2023 I became a volunteer for Papyrus UK: Prevention of Young Suicide
(for under 35's) as a 'Champion', available for talks about the work we do.
I’m conscious that everyone copes differently, whether you choose a one-off session or several appointments, what’s best for you is at the heart of my service. I can offer flexible appointment times, including evenings.

I am a member of the BACP
(British Association of Counselling & Psychotherapy)
